Breathing is amazing. You can use it like a kind of dial – turning your physiological arousal up or down.
Through slow, controlled breathing, you can activate your parasympathetic nervous system. This is like turning the dial down and it means that you can use it to help with feelings of anxiety and panic.
One of the simplest ways to do this is to use something called combat breathing (also know as box breathing).
